What does affordable housing mean to you?

“Affordable housing was the pathway to making dreams a reality and self-sufficiently.”

How has affordable housing benefited you and your family?

“It allowed me to have my own apartment after being in a homeless shelter. Programs sponsored by LMHA taught me about savings, budgeting, and credit. Eventually, I was able to have my first home built in the Russell neighborhood. Affordable housing program scholarships also allowed me to go back to school to finish my bachelor’s degree to help my family become fully self-sufficient.”
